I value the transfer of scientific knowledge and I care about doing it right. To that end I completed >24h of training in pedagogy for teaching. I have supervised students in the lab and given courses at the university for 2 years. I have taught in “Plant physiology” and “Methods and technics applied to biology” for undergraduate students. I also engaged in the university program “Student becoming” that aims at guiding biology student during their first year at the university. In this program, I notably taught “Learning methodology” aiming at improving their organization skills and memorization but also teaching them the importance of physical and mental health to achieve their goals.

Because communicating about science to the general public appears as a responsibility to me, I also volunteered to take part in the European Researchers Night with other members of our research team. We communicated about our work end the purpose of this work for the society. We demonstrated a few simple technics that we use in the lab and encouraged people to try them themselves. I believe it is important to maintain a bridge between the scientific community and the general public to ensure trust and inspire new vocations.
