Throughout my years as a PhD student, I have been actively engaged in promoting equality within the local academic research community. I served as a corresponding agent for equality for the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), as part of the COREGAL network, to implement the CNRS Gender Equality Plan. Our actions focused on advancing gender equality in research and combating all forms of discrimination to ensure a healthy and inclusive work environment for everyone.

After two decades of commitment to equality, the CNRS was awarded in 2024 with the European Prize for Gender Equality in the “advanced” category.

Exhibition "Equality, let's work on it" (original title "L'égalité ça se travaille") in collaboration with the CNRS and L'égalité c'est pas sorcier. 2024

The new CNRS Gender Equality Plan is divided in 6 Axis:

  • Axis 1: Assessing, preventing and bridging the gender pay gap
  • Axis 2: Ensuring equal career opportunities
  • Axis 3: Promoting work-life balance
  • Axis 4: Combating gender-based violence, harassment and discrimination
  • Axis 5: Governing, monitoring and evaluating the gender equality policies
  • Axis 6: Integrating cross-cutting actions
